An iconic Los Angeles name is on the hunt for its next locations. Pioneer Chicken, a beloved LA institution since 1962, is seeking high-profile sites throughout Los Angeles County, with a focus on the San Fernando Valley and South Bay.
Pioneer Chicken has been part of Los Angeles since 1961, beginning when Rick Kaufman opened the first takeout counter next to the Pioneer Market in Echo Park. The brand quickly grew into a Southern California icon, with commercials starring Muhammad Ali and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, its own Orange Whip drink, a cameo in the Full House opening credits, and a place in the hearts of generations of Angelenos. After more than 60 years, Pioneer Chicken is expanding again and bringing its classic flavor back into new neighborhoods. An LA icon is returning, and we couldn't be more excited!
